Marie Antoinette Fichu

I recreated this from the pattern published in Godey's Lady's Book, January 1859. Mine is made of cotton tulle with silk ribbons pleated at the neckline and sewn all across the front and back of the fichu. This would be appropriate to wear at an evening party or ball. It would not be worn while dancing, but perhaps during a break or while having dinner.
