Drawn Bonnet

This bonnet is made of cream colored silk (90% silk/10% cotton) and is drawn only at the top half of the bonnet. It is decorated with blue/yellow (which makes the ribbon more of a green shade) shot taffeta ribbon, purple violets and a cotton tulle frill. This is a lower brimmed bonnet and is a style popular in the late 1850s to early ‘60s, but was still worn throughout the war years.
