Quilted Hood - Magenta Silk Faille

This winter hood is made of magenta silk faille and black silk moire taffeta. It is lined with brown polished cotton and quilted over wool batting. It ties in the front with wide black grosgrain ribbons. This style of hood was taken from a pattern in Godey's magazine, 1859. You can read more about it here.
