Using a false hairpiece for short hair

Step 1: Part hair in the middle.

Step 2: Part hair from top of head in the back, to behind the ears on both sides.

There should be three sections of hair after step 2. Two in the front, and one in the back.

Step 3: Braid the back of the hair, or at least secure it in the back somehow so it stays in place. (The false hairpiece will be placed over this, so it doesn't have to look that good.)

Step 4: Place your false hairpiece over the secured back section of hair. I took a braided false hairpiece and twisted it around to make a chignon out of it. I then secured the chignon with pins to keep its form. (Sometimes then covering it with a hairnet will keep it in place even better.) Then I put the chignon in place and secured with pins.

Step 5: Now roll the side sections of hair to the back and secure with pins.
