Elyssa's White Muslin Gown

This gown is made of a sheer cotton barred muslin which makes it perfect for a teen or young woman's evening dress or ball gown. To add some color, it is trimmed with pink silk taffeta ruching along the bertha and also has a sash made of the same pink silk as the ruching to go with the gown. The bottom of the sash has been unraveled for a fringed edge.

It fastens up the back with hand sewn eyelets, it has a net tucker basted to the neckline and the bertha can be easily removed if the lady ever wishes to re-trim her gown.

This dress was based off of a fashion plate in Peterson's Magazine, January1862.
